hey, I'm ALICIA

I am a Pediatric Pelvic Health Physiotherapist.

Hello my name is Alicia. I have been a Registered Physiotherapist for over 20 years. Seven years ago, I became immersed in the world of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.

I have had the privilege of assisting numerous adults resolve their bowel and bladder Issues and pelvic pain conditions following pregnancy, menopause, surgical intervention for cancer and much more.

More recently I become certified to treat bowel and bladder dysfunction among the pediatric population. I'm so excited to bring my skill set to this population. Since I am a mother myself, I can empathize with the huge psychological burden on children and families that are dealing with bowel and bladder issues.

Bowel and bladder dysfunction can hold a child back from participating in life to the fullest. However, in most cases there is an effective treatment strategy. Urotherapy, a specialized form of Pediatric Physiotherapy is an effective first line treatment for many conditions including; bed wetting (enuresis), functional daytime urinary incontinence (bladder leaks), functional Constipation and fecal incontinence.

I work directly with your family Physician, Pediatrician or Specialist including Pediatric Urologists and Pediatric Gastroenterologists to help resolve your child’s bowel and bladder issues.

I welcome the opportunity to work with you and your family.

As always, I am available to discuss how your therapy may help your child.

Sincerely,

Alicia Hagedorn B. Sc. P.T., M. Cl. Sci (Ortho)
